Zhang Ifei

Zhang Ifei has extensive professional experience in the oil and gas industry, including production organization and field development management.

Over the years, he has held leadership positions in major Kazakhstani oil and gas companies, such as Deputy Head of the Production and Technical Department at the Oil and Gas Production Administration «Oktyabrskneft» of JSC «CNPC-Aktobemunaigas» and Production Manager at JSC «TURGAI-PETROLEUM».

Since February 2024, he has served as the First Deputy General Director.

He holds a specialized higher education degree in Petroleum Engineering.

• In 2010, he graduated from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) with a degree in Petroleum Engineering.

• In 2014, he obtained a Master’s degree from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (Moscow) in «Oil Field Development Management».

• In 2023, he completed an MBA program at Tsinghua University (Beijing).

For his contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry, he has been awarded:

• The Jubilee Medal of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan «125 Years of Kazakhstan Oil»;

• The Certificate of Honor from the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan in honor of Geologist’s Day.
