Improving the social status of workers should be a priority in the activities of any company. It is gratifying that a number of enterprises in the region adhere to this principle. The head of the regional department for the coordination of employment and social programs, Gabit Zhanabayev, visited the Kumkol field of JSC Turgai-Petroleum on a working trip, where he got acquainted with the working conditions of oil workers.
First of all, the head of the department visited production facilities, in particular, he visited the oil preparation and pumping areas, the primary water separation, and the raw materials dispatch department. He also got acquainted with the work of the laboratory and talked to the workers. He asked about the work on compliance with labor, technical and industrial safety. He visited the classes for training in safety rules at work, the medical center, the canteen, the gym, the living areas and rest rooms of workers, and asked them about their working and living conditions. Gabit Zhumabekovich took part in the award ceremony of the company’s employees who took an active part in organizing the provision of humanitarian aid to the flood-affected regions. He presented them with letters of gratitude from the regional akim Nurlybek Nalibayev. As is known, in early April, when some regions of the country were threatened by flooding, the residents of the land of Syra showed their unity, an example of citizenship and patriotism, and extended a helping hand to the victims. General Director of JSC Turgai-Petroleum, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Dauren Turganbayuly took the initiative to provide assistance to flood victims. The company’s initiative was supported by the Akimat of the Kyzylorda region, the city branch of the Amanat party. With the assistance of the regional department for the coordination of employment and social programs, Turgai-Petroleum was one of the first to send humanitarian aid worth more than 50 million tenge in ten heavy-duty trucks to residents of the Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions and the city of Kulsary. Assistance to residents of regions affected by floods is one of the company’s many good deeds. In addition to participating in the extraction of minerals, in particular oil and gas, the company occupies a special place in the socio-economic life of the region. To date, the company has allocated more than 4.8 billion tenge for the social development of the region. Thanks to JSC Turgai-Petroleum, more than 250 billion tenge of investments were attracted to the region’s economy. It should be especially noted that the joint-stock company, from the beginning of its work in the region until 2023, has allocated more than 2.7 billion tenge for the training of Kazakhstani, including local specialists. More than 3 billion tenge has been allocated for various charity events held in the region. The company constantly provides assistance to the Rehabilitation Center in the suburban village of Talsuat, the Atameken Children’s Village, the Nursing Home, correctional schools, public funds for the blind and disabled, as well as representatives of socially vulnerable categories of the population. Along with this, JSC Turgai-Petroleum has repeatedly supported Kyzylorda athletes who took part in various international competitions. Considering the enterprise’s merits to the population and society, in 2009 the company was awarded the Grand Prix, as well as the title of “Leader of Social Responsibility” at the republican competition for social responsibility of business “Paryz”. In 2022, it became the silver prize winner of this competition in the nomination “Safety at Work”.
In 2022, the management of the joint-stock company increased the salaries of all its employees by 30%, in 2023 – by 15%, in 2024 by another 10%, constantly improving their working and rest conditions.
