CHAIRMAN OF THE MAJILIS AND PARLIAMENT MEMBERS VISITED JOINT-STOCK COMPANY

The national headquarters to support the construction of the nuclear power plant arrived to Kyzylorda city. A number of meetings were held here with the mother community, elders, villagers and labor collectives. Kyzylorda residents understand the importance of the NPP construction and associate with this initiative a large-scale development plan for the region and the country as a whole.

The national headquarters headed by the Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament Yerlan Koshanov visited Joint-Stock Company “Turgai-Petroleum”, which is considered one of the leading oil and gas producing enterprises not only in the region, but also in the country. Such large enterprises need a stable and long-term source of energy for regular work. Therefore, the oil workers intend to vote in favor of the NPP construction at the upcoming referendum.

The company’s head Dauren Abilkhairov received the speaker of Majilis, chairman of “AMANAT” party Yerlan Koshanov, gave him detailed information about the company and informed him that the labor collective supports the construction of NPP in the country.

– Nuclear power plant is the cleanest and environmentally safe source of energy. The construction of NPP will significantly reduce the use of coal products and provide clean air in the cities. Also, NPP is a decent job and professional growth for future engineers, power engineers, nuclear physicists, construction workers and other specialists. We fully understand and support this,” said the company’s head.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Majilis told in detail about the nuclear power plant to the staff of the company, which produces 500 tons of oil per day and employs more than 400 workers.

– We all want to live, work and raise our children in a strong and independent Kazakhstan, a country with a developed economy and a bright future. Nuclear power is a step into the future, making it possible to ensure the country’s energy security and solve environmental problems. Therefore, by voting for the construction of the nuclear power plant on October 6, we will, first of all, lay the foundation of a bright future for our future generation,” Yerlan Zhakanuly said at the meeting with oil workers.

Sayabek Sakhiyev, general director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, said Kazakhstan has necessary scientific and technical base and personnel potential to build a nuclear power plant. In particular, a low-power reactor in the center of Almaty has been successfully operating for almost 60 years. More than 700 people work there. Research is carried out in various areas, from medicine to industry. All work is carried out under the direct supervision of the IAEA. All this will be used in construction of NPP.

Employees of the joint-stock company noted that the NPP is a large-scale project, which will have a multiplicative effect in various spheres – from home heating and ecology to business development and creation of new enterprises. In this regard, every citizen who wants to develop their country should support the NPP. That is why the community of oil workers of Kyzylorda region supports and votes for peaceful nuclear energy.

During the meeting, the company’s veteran Alibek Sabyrbaev, head of capital construction department Talgat Bazarbayev and head of social development department Zagipa Aimurzayeva noted that peaceful nuclear power will open new opportunities for our country. For example, in the construction of nuclear power plants, domestic construction companies have a high load. That is, not only NPP, but also related infrastructure will be built: access roads, housing for employees, social infrastructure facilities.

Talgat Zhangazyuly, head of the integrated construction department, emphasized the importance of providing industrial facilities with sustainable energy.

– The problem of power supply is common for all regions. Lack of energy hinders the formation of new production facilities. In Kyzylorda region over the last two years the volume of electricity consumption has increased. Dozens of residential, social and industrial facilities have been commissioned in the region. This has led to a 23% reduction in grid electricity consumption. A nuclear power plant can solve this problem. According to him, compared to the existing TPP, its advantages are much higher.

In Syrboy oil workers’ opinion, the people’s support of NPP construction is a decisive step and a real concern for future generations. Therefore, all Kazakhstani people should actively participate in the upcoming referendum, vote in favor of NPP construction and contribute to the development of the country.

It is noteworthy that the Chairman of Respublica party Aidarbek Kozhanazarov, Majilis members Rinat Zaitov, Aidos Sarym and Duisenbai Turganov participated in the meeting and shared their opinions.
